The client supplies and installs all different types of flooring and window covering predominantly on new builds, and was struggling to manage and collate orders effectively.
The Problem
Target fitting dates varied tremendously and each new build plot required different products. It was difficult to manage fitter diaries especially for multi visit jobs, and make effective use of the fitting team.
Communication between the sales team and fitting team was fragmented so not all information was passed effectively.
Sales visits were difficult to manage across all sites owing to the variations in requirements
Objective
• To provide a multi user Order management System showing all necessary details
• To ensure that only specific users were able to see sensitive financial information
• To ensure that all visits were in place and all products were ordered in time for the fitting
• To manage multi-visit orders effectively ensuring that the sites were ready when required
• To ensure that all sales personnel were aware of the status of their sites and could report effectively after their sales visits
• To ensure that all completed orders were invoiced immediately and accurately
Method
Software was provided to manage all sales orders ensuring that the correct pricing structures were used when the orders were created and that all users has access to the information they required to carry out their individual tasks.
The software provided a link between the Order and the fitter diary. Structured rules were put in place so that specific diary events were created automatically to save time.
A web App was introduced for the sales personnel to maintain their sites and provision is made to allow fitters to take photographs on their phones and send the images back to the office that are automatically inserted into the respective order for all users to view
